Quality of caps produced on compression molding machine has received wide acceptance from customers because of its quality and finish and has fetched a higher selling price then the ones produced on Injection Molding process. The consistency in quality, fast cycle time and low cost of production have given this technology all the advantage.
The process involves continous extrusion of plastic at the tip of the extruder from where the take up Unit Cutters lift the material and drops in the cavity of the mould and the Rotary movement of Mould Wheel keep the production process continous and cyclic and the revolution of the wheel is the time taken for the cap to take shape, cool and get ejected before starting the next cycle.
LIVING SERVICES – WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY AND HOW WILL THEY CHANGE THE WAY WE DESIGN FOR THE WORLD AROUND US?
We are in a new digital wave where humans, technology and services fit together in the form of “Living Services”; they are systems that organically adapt and expand around users. These services are constantly learning more about our needs, goals and preferences, and they flex themselves to become more relevant, engaging and useful over time.
This will require designers to imagine a whole new set of interaction systems for smarter products and services. This means engaging more with human senses such as voice, gestures and body sensors, as well as taking into account the context and circumstances. With these ever-extending interaction channels we will have completely new ways to reach, aid, empower, educate and delight the user.
At the IxDA Helsinki meetup, to be held at Fjord Helsinki on March 19th we will discuss what Living Services are, how they will evolve in cities and how we can use rapid protyping to express and communicate the experience.
